delighted to read that it had a somewhat happy ending and that the parents were informed about the disease. We had a lot of doctors making bedside diagnoses on our son, just because he had certain features when born - features that came with down syndrome. One of them was an extra long toe, which is similar to mine, and another slightly tilted eyes, similar to my wife. Doctors just guess, but you always meet the helping doctor, if you are persistent.
