I've mentioned my deep distrust of Disney--and its sub-context of feminine enslavement--before, but for those of you deaf to my pleas this should help bring some clarity to my concerns.
Just one more reason to introduce Cheeky to Star Wars. At least THAT princess killed a Hutt.

All of which goes to show why I'm so happy that my girls' favorite Disney princess-type is now... Mulan. Who overcomes the sex-role stereotyping of her family, her culture and her government to become the brave, crafty, brilliant one who saves them all.

Frickin' hos.
Very glad we are out of the Disney princess phase.

Well, Belle *does* like to read.... and that's what makes her an outcast. A sexy outcast.

Thank you! I've had problems with the whole princess thing for years and everyone acted like I was a big nutball. Especially what Disney did to Ariel. Did you know that she dies in the original story? And she's like 12 with her first crush so no one takes her seriously.

Disney characters cast into sterotypical, sexist roles? surely not, next you'll be telling me Walt Disney was a racist...
